Tuesday Night Prayer Gathering—We’d like to begin a prayer meeting on Tuesday nights for the months of June and July in preparation for our transitions as a church and for other prayer needs as well. If you’re interested in participating, either tell Pastor Cameron or indicate so on your communication card. This would be an open 45min-1hr gathering here at the church.

Yesterday, by way of ballot vote, we affirmed Kurt Ingram as the new RCC pastor to be. I would like to encourage you to pray, not only for RCC during this season of transition, but also for the Ingram’s as Kurt, Carol, Elijah and Gracie prepare to leave their current residence in Pennsylvania and come home to Bellingham and RCC. Pray for the church Kurt is presently serving at as they seek a new youth pastor, pray for the students Kurt’s been ministering to, that they release Kurt and bless him as he leaves. Also pray for the Ingram’s to find housing here, specifically in the Roosevelt neighborhood and within the Roosevelt School District.

I also want to thank you all for sticking with us during these past few months of hard decision making. It’s been a challenging, even painful process for everyone involved but we, as a board, feel that this direction we’re headed with Kurt is one led by the Lord.

I look forward to seeing ya’ll on Sunday.

Oh, for those of you inspired yesterday, watch this:

Greetings RCC’rs—Please don’t miss this Sunday as we will hold a special after service meeting to vote on Kurt Ingram as the next pastor of RCC. This meeting will be held immediately after service and will begin with a time to address any additional questions anyone may have regarding Kurt and his ministry experience. After we’ve addressed any questions that may arise, we will hand out simple “Yes/No” ballots, collect the ballots, and some board members will count then and present the results to the congregation.

“But what about us who are out of town?” Good question. You are free to vote by putting either a “Yes” or “No” on a piece of paper, putting it in an envelope, and submitting it to myself or any other board member either prior to Sunday or by the end of Sunday evening. Your vote will be counted.

“Who can vote?” Another great question. Everyone who usually votes on congregational issues can vote. As per our bylaws, a voter must be a regular attendee, over 18years old, and a committed Christ follower. However, we would encourage you to vote only if you attended either the annual meeting, the staff/board potluck on Sat., the worship service on Sunday morning, or the meet-n-greet open house on Sunday afternoon. If you did not attend any of these, then you are free to still vote, but we would discourage it due to a possible lack of information or having had a first person account of Kurt. Ultimately though, it’s up to you.

Let me reiterate that this is a very important meeting for our church and will determine the future of RCC. Please take this seriously and attend. Please continue to pray, as you have, for this process as it comes to completion.

I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.
